It's hard not to love the crazy things that happens at Microsoft research but it of also hard to imagine when it comes to actually start to change, how we interact with our PCs. surface was defeated by SecondLight as the coolest tech, we do not buy, and now comes another successor: LightSpace. This will hang series of projectors the expensive table in favor of one from the ceiling to free camera combined with a 3D (certainly not cheap). The camera recognizes the relative position of things and has a projector to any surface apply a surface-like interface. From there, a user can access literally any file that you like and take it to another surface, where it appears. It showed all pretty handy in the video below, and while the system looks a tiny bit Rau at the moment, the potential is certainly there. Just like it was with SecondLight, surface and courier...
