sharp 5.5 and 10, 8 inch Galapagos are to desire something. Sharp got the Android-powered e-tablets of reading strongly on display here at CEATEC, which of course means we us jumped at the chance to try it. The interface is a bit slow as pinch-to-zoom in the browser. That said pages displayed in full (as our favourite Engadget) and examples were crispy like supplied magazine (Newsweek, GQ--all in Japanese, of course). Flash 10 is supported although we get no chance to try it. The missing trackball on the 10, 8-inch model was not much cause for concern as it all, but was redundant to the 5.5-incher. Looks promising now, but with its US launch not expected, until sometime in 2011, no telling what the competition might look like then. More pictures in the gallery below!
