TDK prevents its transparent OLED muscles with CEATEC demonstrations

By Vlad Savov posted October 4th 2010 8: 39 AM finally a little competition to the transparent OLED market pep. Samsung and LG seem this party quite alone until now had to have, but TDK reinforced in a 2 passive matrix screen with a modest QVGA (320 x 240)-resolution. Sure not groundbreaking information but one claimed 50 percent Durchlässigkeit--meaning that half of what could - be seen behind the screen through it beats its Korean competitors quite handy. A further prototype appears the company is a 3, 5-inch flexible OLED Panel which redefined thinness with a slinky 0.3 mm profile. It via a resin substrate and covers an unimpressive 256 x 54 pixels at the moment but again, that's just as good things start: small steps of awesome. We will keep an eye out for these two as we 2010 roam the halls of CEATEC.
