today is to be a big day for Microsoft and Steve Ballmer is kicking off early. Emerging on the today show, Samsung Cetus in hand, he released a modest smile and spent a little time showing off a trio of mobile phones. Together with the whale, a LG C900 on the right side is embedded in the middle in the picture below and who has a HTC Mondrian none gave as much face time as the man himself, on the left (tersely) polite ribbing of host Matt Lauer on the status of Microsoft's mobile efforts compared with the competition last year, even make mention of Ballmer's before recently cut bonus thanks partly to the kin debacle.
